We are looking for

We are looking for a Technology Consultant to join our Technology team. In this role you will being the first point of contact for all workplace technology queries. Working with the wider Technology team, the Technology Consultant’s primary responsibility is to provide technical support on all forms of software and hardware in the workplace. Unlike traditional technology support roles, your role will not just fix technical issues, but help to consult, advise and drive adoption of modern tools in the workplace. As an organisation Caydon has grown and have embraced the changing technology landscape.

Reporting to the Workplace Technology Manager this role will be critical to ensuring the reliability of service in our technology Hardware and Software. You will understand and have worked with cloud-based technology while having a grasp on modern technology trends, and be up to speed on the latest mobile devices and laptops. Your role will also extend out to internal IT projects on a roadmap, rolling out modern cloud bases tools, IT procurement, asset management and action new starters and exits. This role will be a key contributor in selecting and implementing a customer support system and help shape how we manage and prioritise internal IT requests. A customer centric service approach is paramount as you and your team will provide support to both internal and external technology stakeholders.

Along with supporting and growing the Workplace Technology service, for the right proactive candidate, this role will have the opportunity to support and work on Caydon’s online digital products.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to;

  • Working Collaboratively with the wider technology team and other departments to achieve company goals and implement a proactive / defined technology road map aligned with the technology strategy.
  • Provide workplace technology support to all internal staff, including but not limited to prioritising and resolving technical issues, technology adoption & training.
  • Implement and maintain modern VC tools like
  • Take the time to sit with caydon employees, understand technical challenges using your problem solving skills with the longer term aim of bringing a level of ‘self service’ to Caydon.
  • Maintain Asset Management records, update and maintain department level technical documentation.
  • Establish and maintenance Documentation related to Support Services, On boarding and off boarding of staff tasks, Incident and Vendor Management Processes

The successful applicant will ideally possess

  • A degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or have equivalent experience and training. 
  • They will have at least three years previous experience in a technical support role in a Windows and Mac Environment including asset management.
  • They will have exposure to cloud based products including Office 365, Salesforce, Intranets, Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom.
  • Previous exposure to working in an agile environment with experience supporting Adobe Creative Cloud and AutoCAD and Revit will be highly regarded.
  • Have a proven track record on delivering IT projects.
  • Have the ability to build, configure and roll out windows based laptops, macs, can bing machines to a corporate network and understand the fundamentals on how devices should operate in the workplace.
